Dr. Alexandra "Lexie" Carver (née Brooks) is a fictional character from the NBC soap opera, Days of our Lives. Actress, Renée Jones is most known for her portrayal of Lexie since stepping into to the role in 1993.

Casting

Sheila Wills originated the role of Lexie in July 1987, but the role was quickly recast with Cyndi James Gossett who made her debut as Lexie on July 30, on a recurring basis. Gossett last appears as Lexie on February 20, 1989. Angelique Francis steps into the role on March 31, 1989 and vacates the role on August 2, 1990. Francis would reprise the role from March to December of 1992. Actress Shellye Broughton briefly steps into the role for two episodes in January 1993. Jones would make her first appearance as Lexie on February 2, 1993. Jones briefly departed from the series in January 2007 only to return on June 14, 2007. In April 2012, Jones announced that she had decided to retire from acting.
